Acclaim’s Executive Chairman takes helm as SICC Deputy Chair 

We are delighted to share that as of 27 June 2025, our Founder & Executive Chairman, Mr Anthony Lim, has been voted the Deputy Chairman of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) at its Annual General Meeting by its members. 

Singapore was founded by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1819, and the SICC was formed on 8 February 1837 by merchants defending Singapore’s free-port status. The SICC is the oldest business chamber in Singapore — and the first official chamber of commerce under British rule, informally known as "Registered Organisation No. 1". It remains the oldest chamber in East Asia and a living institution that has shaped Singapore’s commercial history for nearly two centuries, as it celebrates its 188th anniversary this year. Today, it is a premier advocate for businesses of all sizes, blending legacy with forward-looking leadership.  

The SICC represents a diverse membership — from multinationals to SMEs — across nearly every major sector. It fosters collaboration, drives policy dialogue, and champions initiatives that reinforce Singapore’s position as a global business hub.  

Our Executive Chairman’s appointment to this pivotal role reflects both his longstanding commitment to advancing Singapore’s business community and Acclaim’s deep-rooted presence as a trusted partner to companies navigating complex risk landscapes in Singapore and the region.
